Education Psychologist &
Licensed Professional Counselor
Calvin Smith
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Mr. Smith has a diverse background in education and psychology. He earned degrees from Florida A&M University and Florida State University before pursuing a doctorate in Educational Psychology at Georgia State University.
​
His career spans high school mathematics instruction, post-secondary education, and mental health counseling. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC), he focuses on mental health and wellness for Black males. Additionally, he is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with expertise in assessment, evaluation, and academic and behavioral interventions.
​
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Smith enjoys traveling, acting, music, and photography.

Arts-Integration, Holistic Education, &
Student Wellness Coach
Lorraine McCall
Lorraine founded Visions of Rainy, an art education nonprofit dedicated to empowering at-promise youth through creative expression and mentorship. Under her leadership, the organization has fostered resilience, emotional well-being, and academic engagement through art-based programs.
​
Beyond her nonprofit work, Lorraine has developed student wellness initiatives focused on mindfulness, movement, and mental health, designing programs that promote self-care, stress management, and personal growth for students and educators.
​
She holds an M.S. in Neuroscience from Tuskegee University and a B.S. in Biology from Bethune-Cookman University. Her lifelong commitment to education ensures students thrive academically, emotionally, and creatively in supportive learning environments.

Education Marketing Specialist
​
Mickel Henderson
Mickel is a seasoned marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in higher education and corporate sectors.
​
A Gary, Indiana native, she earned a B.A. in English from Tuskegee University and an M.A. in Mass Communications from Southern University and A&M College.
Her career began as the Assistant Director of Marketing at an Indiana community college before she led award-winning campaigns at Oklahoma State University, including the Tunnel of Oppression social justice project. At Georgia State University, she advanced digital marketing strategies as a Graduate Recruitment and Marketing Specialist.

In corporate marketing, Mickel now manages vendor relationships while teaching business communication and professional development as an adjunct instructor at Georgia State.

Beyond work, she enjoys party planning, writing, self-care, and live music, embracing Atlanta’s vibrant culture.

Youth Curriculum Innovation Specialist

Tomar Morgan
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Tomar is a sophomore at Clark Atlanta University
majoring in Sociology.
Tomar brings a unique perspective to Youth Curriculum Innovation, blending his academic knowledge in his sociological studies with real-world experience. He is committed to creating innovative educational practices that foster critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth among young learners.
Tomar’s youth leader, musician, and mentor background positions him to create dynamic and inclusive curricula that meet youths' diverse needs in today’s ever-evolving educational landscape.
